I have this distinct memory of being eight years old, reading short stories by Shel Silverstein alone in my bedroom, while doodling out drawings and subsequent prose, pretending I too were an author and illustrator of such glowing caliber—when, suddenly, the realization dawned on me like a cascading waterfall—THIS is exactly what I was meant to be doing.
One day, I would create my own children’s books.
Now, that dream is a reality!
My first ever picture book, Bloom In, based on our award-winning animated short film for kids, is officially available at select retailers, including through Enlighten Books!

A prickly Cactus in the desert struggles to find her place while comparing her truth to the soft little poppy flowers blooming in the sands around her. After a conversation with the Sun and after some time reflecting with the Moon, the Cactus finally learns how to soften.
When she opens up to look within, she finds there is always enough space in her heart to Bloom In.
