Hello Blogging World,
It’s the beginning of my Junior year and I feel like I have a case of Senioritis. I feel like much of what is happening around me lacks purpose. After spending so much time this summer focusing on what is important to me in the grand scheme of our chaotic world I found I am somewhat trapped in a superficial bubble.
I’m not saying my life is going in a terrible direction, that I’m wandering aimlessly throughout my day-to-day, yet I am struggling to find things everyday that matter.
And so I must make a change. I need something to get me up in the morning that means something to me and then in turn I will mean something because of it. I’m not sure what that is, I don’t even know where to look for it, but I think in order to find it I need to find the passion in what is already present in my life.
There are amazing people I’m around everyday who bring out the best in me. People I can talk to about anything who genuinely listen and try their best to help me solve the problems or obstacles in my life. I think that’s something everyone can appreciate. It’s something that means I can be myself and be fully accepted no matter what.
There is the beauty in nature everywhere, an organic imagination that if you can allow yourself to embrace will literally brighten your day. A peace of mind can be found everywhere, that’s something I have come to realize, the great outdoors give me purpose and show me reasons to smile even when I’m at my lowest. Take my beta fish for example, Phil, he is so intelligent- he swims to the top of the bowl when I pick up the fish food shaker. That’s unusual right? I think he is brilliant, which ultimately makes me appreciate my ability to reason and find good in the world.
A passion for creativity and imagination brings me to life. If ever there is a moment to find purpose I will find it in something new. Something exciting and different that is all my own- that I will share and will make the world a better place. An idea is only the beginning, it is the beginning of all that exists in our world so how is it that people can be surprised by ideas- EVER. People who think outside the box, or outside the bubble if you’re in my position, are people who understand the deeper meaning of the world we live in. We give life purpose, not only for ourselves, but for the greater good of all living things on earth.
So find meaning in YOUR life because all lives are different. Once you grasp the meaning in the life you live, you will understand the true purpose of life as a whole.
